1.What is your home country?
Samoa

2.What programme(s) did you graduate in and in which year?
BA Public Administration (1984)

3.What was your most memorable moment as a student?  
Getting married and having a baby while studying

4.Describe your experience while studying at USP.
Enjoyed learning about the many different cultures from across the Pacific through fellow students and during culture celebrations.

5.What was your greatest achievement while studying at USP?
Obtaining my BA and having a beautiful son.

6.After graduating from USP, what were some of the highlights of your career?
I have worked in the public service in both the Cook Islands and Samoa. In Cook Islands I have worked for the National Advisory Board as the Senior Policy and Research Officer, Private Sector Development. In Samoa I have worked for the Ministry of Finance as their Principal Planning Officer and in Ministry health as Project Counterpart, Project Director, Assistant CEO Strategic Development and Planning and currently as Registrar Health Professions.

7.How do you think USP helped you in your career?
Broadened my perspective and understanding about the region I live, work and share with other Pacific Islanders.

8.What inspires you and why?
Knowledge/learning  and using it to help build  positive systems for the public.

9.What advice would you give to current and future students of USP?
Enjoy the learning and never stop learning!

10.Please share your top three tips that you think are most important for our current students or recent graduates that will help them when starting out on their career paths.
Watch and learn from older colleagues and each other and use knowledge gained for positive things.

11.What has your involvement been with the University since you graduated?
Unfortunately not much except I did spend 1 year tutoring and lecturing at the USP Alafua.

12.Any other information you would like to share?
I am so proud to be a USP Graduate!!!
